It is believed that these were the very caves where the Pandavas sought shelter when they were exiled. Dr. Vishnu Wakankar, a professor at the Vikram University in Ujjain discovered these caves while on an excavation during 1957-58. He strayed far from the site and stumbled upon these caves. One cannot afford to miss this place when one visits Madhya Pradesh.
This breathtakingly beautiful temple is off the Bamitha Road near the Airport. The backdrop of the Lavanya Hills and the amazing view of the sunset makes this one of the most beautiful temples here. More like the eastern temples, this temple is dedicated to the combined gods Hari- Hara. The architecture and design of this temple is unique with a shallow porch and pointed roof. The extraordinary carvings and architecture of this temple makes it stand out absolutely. Also, this is a lone temple standing on a raised platform and is a symbol of peace and serenity. There is a small lawn or ground area which might have been a garden at some point of time. This place is utilized by tourists as a place to relax and spend lazy afternoons.
