We started our Uttarakhand Escape in December 2018 in search of snow. We travelled from Delhi to Mussoorie to Joshimath passing Surkanda Devi enroute which is a must-do short trek from Kaddu Khaal because the views of Himalayas and Dhanaulti from the top are just amazing. Our trip concludes at Auli on the Christmas eve where we were hoping to find snow. There was snow at Auli, however we had to hike up a few kilometers till Gorson Top for experience we had in mind.
Now that it has been snowing for the past couple of weeks, finding snow nearby is not a task anymore, but this video will be cherished for all the time we spent planning and making sure that we reach a snow spot on the Christmas eve during our Uttarakhand escape.
Himachal especially Manali had played spoilsport during our 2018 New Year Escape, There was no snow last year despite predictions, however this time even Shimla has been surprising.
