So if you are following along my first blog post, you would have read about the places I have been to in south Bali on Day 1. After coming from Uluwatu temple, I packed my bags, had my dinner and head towards North Bali. I thought of changing places at night so that I can do most of the sightseeing in the daytime and can avoid the traffic by traveling at night.
Also known as the "the gateway to heaven", this place is a perfect backdrop for a picture and is extremely popular on Instagram. The entrance gate is packed with tourists taking a picture here so try to be as early as you can. I reached here at 6 am and had this place all to myself for about 45mins. If you wish you can enter further inside to see but I just took a picture from outside. It is very easy to find as it's on the main road.
The beautiful floating temple of Bali is beautiful from each and every angle. Reaching here early in the morning before sunrise so that I can witness the beauty of the temple when the sun rays fall on it was the most memorable part. The temple complex is huge and very beautiful. This is a must visit place when in Bali. Check for yourself how the temple looks with and without sunlight.
I didn't plan to visit this place. All I wanted to visit was Wanagiri hidden hills. I have seen too many pictures of wanagiri hidden hills and because of the lake view as background, it makes such an awesome picture but I thought to give Pucak swings a try and I was very happy that I did. The place was huge and several setups for the pics but what I loved about this place were people. They were very kind and helpful. They were helping with the pictures too, even the kids. They have given employment opportunities to so many people so I thought to help them out by visiting them. The most favorite for me here was the swing. the views of the jungle in front of me were amazing. Just couldn't explain in words.
It's one of the lakes from the twin lakes of Bali. The view is amazing. Standing on the top and all you can see is a lake that is surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. There are so many points to photograph and is not much touristy. If you are lucky, you may even be driving above the clouds. You can even go down to lake buyan.
The way down to this waterfall will take around 10 min. It's steep at some points so be careful but it's not tough at all (watch a timelapse video on my Instagram Bali story highlights) As you will come closer to the waterfall, you will see how calm and beautiful it is. It's not the pone with so much force but it's very pretty. The water is not so deep and not rocky so playing and relaxing in the water is much easy and fun.
