Some major attractions of this island are the picturesque Kelingking beach, diamond and broken beach. Scuba diving with manta rays is another popular activity to do on this island.
Planning your trip
There are usually many day trips from Bali to Nusa Penida but if you want to explore it properly, you have to stay for at least one night. Open tickets are available for ferries going to the island meaning you can return to Bali any day. The day trip includes either the east (Diamond beach, Atuh beach and Teletubbies hills) or the west side (Keling king beach, Broken beach, crystal bay). The day trip costs roughly between INR 5500-6000 (68$-75$) per person including hotel pickup. You have to book the island tour before one day and many travel companies in Bali offer tour packages to Nusa Penida.

Places to visit on the west side of Nusa Penida Island
We toured the west side of Nusa Penida because it has lots of breathtaking beaches and stunning views.
Kelingking beach is the most beautiful and famous beach of Nusa Penida. However, the hike down to the beach is a difficult one and takes 40-60 minutes. Swimming in the beach is unsafe due to the strong waves.
Angel's billabong is a natural pool in the cliff. The high tide fills the pool with sea waves and during low tide the natural pool appears. There are also many spots for taking pictures which charge a small fee.
Broken beach is a circular bay. It a unique and spectacular marvel of nature which has a large natural hole having crystal-clear blue water with an arch overlooking the sea.
