CHOTTA LADHAK

Located amidst villages, on the outskirts of Bangalore towards Narasapura (kolar) is a beautiful, now defunct, land quarry – Chota Ladhak, gaining popularity in the recent times among the netizens of the garden city as a popular weekend get away.

On a clear day one can see the reflection of the blue sky in the clear waters which gets collected in this quarry from its surrounding places due to rain. It’s about 34kms from Hoskote Toll gate.

A peaceful place for someone who want to sit and reflect on things, or a perfect early morning or an evening ride on the NH75 to eliminate one's boredom of Work from home (WFM),

This place is guarded by a security person most of the time unless he is drunk and lost in his paradise.

When I first heard about 'Chota Ladhak', I knew it was one of THE places to go, slipping away from my place. The 1st time I went to this place was a surprise for me by my dear friend. I was amazed at the beauty of the place. Since it was a Sunday evening it had attracted a small crowd ,who were enjoying the view, clicking selfies and having their evening picnic enjoying their snacks.

For me I wanted to get down in the quarry to go near the water and take a round about trip of the place. So we started with getting down the quarry near the water (be careful not to get down in the water because it is steep and there are pipes connected to the quarry water which pumps water to the surrounding villages for agriculture). After taking a couple of pics we started our small journey of trek of about 2 kms going around the quarry. Beautiful place to go around, for a person who would wish to go around.

We left the place by Sunset and had our refreshments, in one of the many places on the highway. While coming back I knew I had to visit this place at least once more ,because this would be a perfect place for someone who would like some 'me time'.and hence I revisited the place with another of my friends a few days later.

The second time I visited was on a week day, Guess what, it was exactly the kind of place I wanted to spend some time with myself. Very quiet and serene. however this time we had the security person to give us brief of do’s and don’ts. We sat there until almost the sunset and left to the renowned Kolar CCD to enjoy our cappuccinos because it could turn out to be a little risky for 2 girls to travel to the secluded place although there was a security guard
