This island is the third largest inhabited island in Seychelles. Widely known for Anse Source d'Argent (beach) and Grand Anse. Also, Veuve Nature Reserve, in the island's interior, is home to the rare black paradise flycatcher, which are very few in existence. This island's tallest peak, Belle Vue (Eagle's Nest Mountain) has a summit more than 300 m above sea level.
