Villages, they have a different vibe than your busy city lives and a visit there could serve as a real gift for you to get a break from your busy schedule.
I was at my maternal aunt's home in a small town - Bina in Madhya Pradesh. ( near to the state's capital Bhopal)
Last time I visited this place I was a small boy of 12 and as my memory recalled nothing much had changed over the years.
The thing about villages is there is not much to do, and I can't sit ideal when I am travelling I want to explore the place.
The passion for wildlife in me wanted to visit Kanha National Park, the jungle from which rudyard kipling got the idea of the best-seller jungle book, the problem was the weather(too hot for animals to come out) as well as the distance.(433 kms) Still I put in all my efforts to convince my folks to visit the place but they were all for nothing.
So we were off to Panchmarhi instead one of the only two hill stations in Madhya Pradesh.
We left at 7 in the morning and were there at about 1 in the afternoon.
The first thing we did checked in to a hotel after freshening up and having lunch we were off to see what the good old place had to offer.
Stairs and stairs it was for my poor old maternal aunt in the scorching heat and it was not looking well but somehow she reached the bottom. The Caves after the end of the fleet of stairs was a complete contrast to the scorching heat it was pretty cool and our intentions to go back soon became none. But in the end we had to take a leave.
The next spot pandav caves had it's caves closed by the government and the spot was no more than just a picnic spot unless you visit the top. My cousin and I made a visit to the top while the elders stayed back. Hills at the back, a beautiful garden in the middle what else would you ever need for a wondrous view absolutely enthralling.
We had to wait a while to enter this mysterious shallow cave temple as only a few people were allowed because of the one way route. My mother was afraid to go in as she is claustrophobic just like my paternal grandmother. But still she went in got back pretty quickly as well.

The best place to witness sunset in Panchmarhi is Dhupgarh, The Highest Point of Satpura Range standing at 1350 m. This turned out to be my second top peak of a range conquered within a period of less than six months.(the first being Guru Shikhar in Mount Abu)
The Sunset was an absolute beaut. It's wondrous setting into the clouds that were just above the mountains brought my obsession with sunset back to life.
It was really a shame to see even youngsters going in gypsies(the only transport allowed) to the bee fall after all it was not even a 2 km walk.
They were not only spending their money in vain as well as having a direct affect on health due to their laziness, they were also missing out on a great walk in nature which you can't appreciate in a gypsy.
But my mother and me were not going to miss this opportunity we took a walk while the rest of our company took the gypsy.
Bee fall was nothing special because of a long period of absolutely no rain.
The fall near to it though entertained us for a while. We were sitting with both feet in the fall while the fish chipped away the dead skin of our feet in turn pedicuring us for free.
We had a wonderful time and took a gypsy back to the spot where we had parked the car at.
Reechgarh
The last spot to visit was reechgarh. Not long ago this was not a spot that people use to visit a lot but since the shooting of Ashoka, the popularity of the place has grown immensely and it has become a major tourist spot. You could also witness the cave painting if you look closely.
It was a wonderful experience in Madhya Pradesh, "the Heart of Incredible India"
