30 things to do before you turn 30

The youth of emerging nations are living in confusing times. They finally have all the money, but no time to spend it.  They are told to chase credit cards instead of their dreams, and told to dream meaningless dreams of buying meaningless things before you turn 30.

You don’t need a home loan, a pointless promotion or a life insurance policy before you are 30. You need experiences; get lost in the woods, party on a beach with strangers and climb mountains while you still care to. To shake you out of your quarter-life coma, Tripoto has created a list 30 awesome things to put on a list of goals you actually care about. Things to do before you turn 30 :

1. Before you turn 30, take a long solo-trip to somewhere you’ve never been. How about Nepal?

  1. Please let me know if you guys are into arranging for such trips or if you know of some one who is planning as am about to turn 30 in a few years!!!

  2. I am 24 and i have done like two of these.

If i am obligated to do all these now. I might probably end up broke and jobless by 30. haha

    1. Don’t worry you can earn anytime ;) ending up broke is a small price to pay for experiencing what life is meant to be at first place

  3. So before turning 20 I have to earn money for these 30 things !!!!! How about swimming in the river in our town, trekking the highest peak in ones reach, having midnight tea in a local gali, there are things you won’t understand, don’t teach us what to do, do what you wannna do ….. For getting hit on your website and advertise you package you guys doing what should not be done …… I will not be surprised if my comment gets deleted

  4. There is nothing on this list that a 20 year old without a job can afford! This list is created for spoilt kids with rich parents. I would rather have a good job, roof over my head and spend nice vacations with money I earned!

    1. Agree with you Tanya. If I have to go to the doctor i have to consciously keep it for the weekend for the fear of overtime on normal working days.

  5. Hmmm very interesting just one question … How do i make enough money to pay for atleast half the to do things from this list before turning 30?

  6. This list seems so far out of reach to achieve everything on it! I’m 32 and have done just a few things mentioned here. It is an interesting mix though.

    1. I think life should be lived and enjoyed. I am well into my 30s but I think this last will take a lifetime to complete. Maybe, 30 things to do before you die would be a more apt title?

  7. I have gone skinny-dipping and it is good fun. Apart from that, someone would need a massive bank balance and no responsibilities to cover everything on the list. It could have been a tad realistic. Anyway, nice attempt Tripoto!

    1. If you think skinny-dipping was fun, you need to check take the Barrier Reef tour. I went there in 2012 and was blown away. I think that alone would beat everything else mentioned on the list.

  8. Some of the things to do before 30 seem a little tame to me. There should be more stuff that will challenge individuals. I have tried skinny-dipping and it isn’t much of a big deal.

But then I guess that’s just me!

    1. I think the list has something for everyone. I really like the mix. I think trying to attain most of it should not be a problem. I definitely should try skinny-dipping, now.

  9. Most of the list mentions places to visit. It should have been centered on doing everyday things that could challenge us. Not many of us have the luxury to travel the world. Good luck to those that have the money to do so!

  10. This list is very cool. I just turned 22 and I’ve realized that I have a few more years to tick off a few things to do from the list.
