I've been there many time and it is my favourite destination to relieve myself from stress. THE CHEAPEST you can go is from Chandigarh sec 43 bus stand take a normal HRTC bus to bhuntar.any bus which is going manali will go through bhuntar. so take a bus from there i think 26 is the pillar number where buses arrive.Service is good you can catch buses at anytime.in every half hour a bus is available. It will cost around 450 INR till bhuntar. almost a 9 hour journey. From bhuntar you cant catch another bus to kasol. It will be a local bus so be ready for conjusted atmosphere.COST -60.INR it will take 1hr 15 mins till kasol from bhuntar. EASY.COMFORTABLE.CHEAP STAY in chalal(a.village 30 mins from kasol)for.cheapest stay. 400-500 INR max HAPPY TRAVELLING MAN!!!

Taking into consideration the word "Budget". I am sharing my experiences and pro tips. 1.) Bus Ticket - Take an overnight bus to Manali but don't book it from HRTC's website. Go to redbus and see the Tour operators taking busses to Manali. See the pictures and select the bus. Go to there regional office (Paharganj or Yamuna Vihar) and buy it from there. I bought Del-Man ticket for 900 which was for 1600 from HRTC. Also, you can check railyatri they also offer tickets at good prices. Trust me, these Volvo are equally good or maybe better than HRTC sometimes. 2) Stay - Book OYO at either Club house road near old manali which will have river side view or book it at Circuit house road which is like mid point for Old Manali and Mall Road. you can get a room for 500-600 per day per person with breakfast. Kasol is very small and you can book an OYO anywhere here at the same price range. 3.) Scooty - Take scooty on rent which is easily available at Manali. You can get one for 450-500 per scooty per day depending upon how many you want and for how many days and season too. I paid 1100 for 3 days for one. For Kasol, you can also try searching for it though I did not find any good deal here. Now comes Itinerary: Day 1 - Reach Manali, checkin, rest and take scooty. Explore near around areas like old manali, mall road, hadimba temple, van vihar. Day 2 - Visit Vashisht temple and have a bath in hot water spring. Then take a trek of 1 hour to Jogini falls. I am sure you'll love it. Take the route which is short cut and not much explored. Come back and chill at any cafe in Old Manali. Day 3 - Start early morning and take a scooty ride to Gulaba point. The drive is breathtaking and so are the views from top point. Enjoy Pahado wali magie and get back to manali. Shop at Old Manali. Day 4 - Leave for Kasol, you can take a cab or a local bus. Kasol is 3-3.5 hours from Manali. If you have booked personal cab then you can visit HPMC store at Kasol and buy real Juice extracts and all. You can also visit Manikaran Gurudwara on the way. Reach Kasol and rest for the day. Day 5 - You can do Kheerganga trek and stay at the mountain top or some other treks like Chalal, Malana Village. Day 6 - You can keep this day free and explore the unexplored areas of Kasol. Take a bus the same day in evening to Bhuntar and from there a bus to Delhi.

You can visit my profile for the budget trip. I completed a 4N Manali trip at just 15000 bucks including the air fare. Visiting Manali during the off season like in Feb or March would help your budget and isn't flooded with people.

I would suggest you to visit Kasol! If you will take a bus from Delhi, the minimum cost would be Rs. 800 and in Volvo the cost will be around Rs. 1500. From Bhuntar take a local bus or cab to Kasol, the bus ticket will cost around Rs. 60! Reach Kasol, rent a room, and then explore Kasol (Parvati Valley) Next day plan a trek to Chalal, Malana, Kheerganga, Rasol, Tosh.... Anywhere you feel so! Chalal is budget friendly and Kheerganga has breathtaking landscapes! Do Trekking and have real fun! Overall budget depends upon the days you want to stay there and the places you want to visit. But if I talk about an average, the average budget would be Rs. 1000 per day / per person.
