You can stay in camp or tent at outskirts of malana village but you can't stay in village. Other options are kasol or jari.

See when I went there they consider themselves as descendants of Alexander, so they consider themselves as pure so I would recommend you to its better to stay somewhere else and not in malana as i dont remember exactly but my tour guide had once adviced me if we touch the locals of malana we have to pay fine.

Go there and you will see many camps and small hostels. You can book a stay there. It is cheap in terms of cost.
