Hello Gaurav, if you are planning for a trek in Maharashtra between March - May, i would recommend to do a trek in March that too a night trek as post that summers will come in and it will be too hot to trek during those months... You can do a night trek to Kalsubai Trek(it is the highest peak of mountains in Maharashtra). You can also do a trip to Alibaug - Murud and visit the murud Janjira fort which is in middle of the sea.

I will highly recommend not to trek here in March May. Summer at it's peak and temperature in day may reach as high as 40 Celsius. And there is scarcity of water in mountains. Best season to trek is monsoon or 15 days after monsoon ends i.e. post monsoon. Post monsoon is best as you can have highest transparency of weather with greenery everywhere and even most of flowers blossom within 2 weeks of sunlight after monsoon. Probable period of post monsoon is September. In monsoon and post monsoon, you will also find plenty of water streams everywhere which is surely drinkable.

I forgot to mention that you can plan one day treks. But you need to arrive at base previous night so that you can start at 5:30-6 in the morning and reach top before it gets too hot. This way you can beat the heat.

This is not good season to see sunset from Kokankada. You must go in post Monsoon season when beauty of Kokankada is at its high. Now a days transparency of weather is very less and because there are no clouds, colours of sunset does not vary too much.
You can visit Bhandardara, a beautiful place to spend weekend in Maharashtra. In Bhandardara you can visit Umbrella Fall, Wisdom Dam, Randha Falls, Kalsubai Peak and many more places. If you are planning to come The Yash Resort is the best place to stay. There they have swiming pool and an awesome pool side cafe named YOLO Cafe.

Check out Bhandardara, dist. Ahmednagar. It's an amazingly beautiful place. There's mountains all around. Bhandardara is situated in the midst of Sahyadri range. You must visit this place once at least. Check out The Land Of Wanderlust (TLOW) website..... https://thelandofwanderlust.com/ UpvoteComment
