Ypu can travel to the places where you feel cool.. because July is a month where sun bombards like anything... places like moussoorie, chopta-tugnath, hemkhund sahib... are great... you'll get a amazing experience

I would suggest either Munnar or Coorg. These places are wonderful.
It will be early monsoon so you can also visit Goa, lavasa,khandala or pondicherry.

July is rains nearly everywhere in India..Ladakh is a very gud option..or if going from mumbai go to lonavala

If you want to travel the South of india ther are many places
Goa, Gokarna, hampi, mysore, pondi, kanyakumari, munnar, kerala.
if not south you have more other options of Rishikesh, trekking in Himalays, or northeast states.

July is the month of rainfalls so to avoid the risk on hilly areas like landslide... you can go to Maissoor where u find pleasant wheather and in ooty ,if u want to feel cold.
