I would suggest either Munnar or Coorg. These places are wonderful. It will be early monsoon so you can also visit Goa, lavasa,khandala or pondicherry.

If you want to travel the South of india ther are many places Goa, Gokarna, hampi, mysore, pondi, kanyakumari, munnar, kerala. if not south you have more other options of Rishikesh, trekking in Himalays, or northeast states. There are number of places to visit in india. Happy Travelling!

July is the month of rainfalls so to avoid the risk on hilly areas like landslide... you can go to Maissoor where u find pleasant wheather and in ooty ,if u want to feel cold.
