Yes for Meghalaya you can come straight to Shillong via flight or Guwahati airport is also nearby .Taking Shillong as an center point there are many places to visit such as Laitlum Canyons just near to Shillong. Day -1 , Next day if you booked hired taxi or shared one can visit Cherapunjee , maximum falls like nohkalikai falls, rainbow , wei sawdong falls are located over here and make halt at very beautiful resort named Sai Mika resort. Double Decker living root bridges can be also checked along the way. Next you might travel to Dawki which is the clearest river that you see transparent water do some boating and make halt at homestay or riverside beach camping. Nongkhnum Island can be checked on the way return also , its Asia's second largest river Island . On the way to return one can take the Jowai -shillong road to visit the extremely beautiful Krangshuri falls and mawlynnong . Double Decker root bridge requires some time of trekking like 3hrs and for bikes you can contact Rentrip.in has network all over 40Plus cities in India and good services in Guwahati .
Guwahati is nearest Railway station or nearest airport to Capital of Meghalaya: Shilong.
1st Day:- Reach Guwahati and go to Shilong (Takes approx 3 hrs to reach)
2nd Day:- Shilong sightseeing. Lot of places are there to visit like Elephant fall, Shilong Peak point etc. 3rd Day:- Go to Cherapunji and on the way visit Seven sister fall, Nohkalikai waterfall, Mawsumi Cave etc & then double decker root bridge trek (if you are fit coz this trek takes 2 hr for one way)
4th Day:- Go to dawki and see the crystal clear blue water of umgot River.
5th Day :- Return to Guwahati via shilong.

Nomadic Connection presents Explore Meghalaya! (_nomadicconnection@instagram) Day 1) Reach Guwahati and move in our taxi to Shillong. have your lunch either at Nongpoh (on your way) or at Police Bazar, Shillong. Stay the first night at our homestays/hostels/campsites in Shillong after exploring the Shillong peak, nearby parks and the market of Police Bazar.
Day 2) Enjoy healthy breakfast and go out to explore the Elephant falls and the Mausumi Caves, and head towards dawki. Enjoy boating at the blue waters of the Dawki River. Lunch served on the beach itself. Move to our guesthouse at the top of a hill nearby for the night's stay. Enjoy local delicacies near the bonefire at dinner.
Day 3) Breakfast and the move to Mawlynong, the cleanest village. Enjoy the living root bridge and the cool water flowing under it. Have traditional lunch at the village, prepared by villages themselves. Leave for Shnongpdeng to stay the night at Camps and enjoy the bonefire with exotic dishes! Day 4) Wake up to the beautiful view around. Enjoy boating, take pictures in the boat (from the top, it looks like as if your boat is floating on air!). Enjoy the place till lunch and then move towards Shillong. Enjoy the beautiful journey with mesmerising views! Shop near Police Bazaar after reaching shillong (if you wanna bring back memories or gifts for dear ones!) and go towards our stay near the beautiful Barapani (Umium) lake. Enjoy traditional food at dinner and sleep on boat cottages floating on the water!
Day 5) Wake up to the mesmerising view. Boating around the huge Umium Lake, take back memories with you in the form of amazing photographs! Enjoy the amazing lunch and move back towards Guwahati. Trip ends after you reach Guwahati.
