Yes you can, but still i suggest you to take a guide as the weather there is in extreme condition, and only local can save you in case of help. The trek is not well marked so maybe you will lost there easily.

If by solo you mean all by yourself then ofcourse no as there are many things to manage which is not one person's job. But if you mean in a group of strangers then yes as I did it recently and its a fun way to make friends with shared interests
