Hey.. I went to North east around 2 years back and it costed me around 25k for 4 nights 5 days including flights..
1 Book your air tickets in advance like 2-3 months. I
This is always the trick for cheap tickets and look for any available discounts on credit cards
2 Book a car in advance there, because places to visit there are little far away and its better to have a local person with you who will guide you also.
3 You will find many beautiful reasonable resorts in Northeast when you sea online.. One of my favourites was Cherry Village Resort, in Pelling.. It was super cheap and the staff offered to take you on a nearby short trek on their own.. It was amazing.. and they offer homemade Indian food also.
4 I covered following during my span - Gangtok, Darjelling, Pelling, Tsongo Lake.

Packages are waste of time for Goa. reach Goa somehow. take bike or car on rent. visit north Goa if you are for the first time in goa..or else visit south Goa for a peaceful trip
