It's depend on your budget. If you need comfort and want to save time then travel by plane and if you want to travel within the budget and if there is no restriction of time then travel by train.

I would prefer to travel by both.
if I would travel by train🚆 I would be able to enjoy the journey and if I would travel by plane✈️ I would be able to enjoy for more time at the destination.
So both are good at there own particular way.

I would choose the train over a plane any day of the week. The only exceptions are the trans-Atlantic trips. But with all the pollution problems seems like we might get a transAtlantic train soon as well. If you told me that you prefer the plane over the train, I’d say you simply haven’t traveled on a good train. A nice example would be the German trains and their railway systems (https://www.dbauskunft.com/de/). It is very comfortable, great service, and it will get you anywhere ON TIME, without any delays, for a reasonable price and very efficient time-wise. High-speed trains are the future.

Definitely train, no doubt!! You can use the $400 saved on treating yourself to a nice hotel when you get there, and some great food and have an awesome day treating yourself and still have some money left over. Not to mention the sightseeing and getting to interact with different people who get on and off the train along the way. I met many new people that I got close to later in life when traveling by train. I most definitely have a favorite line, which is dbfahrplan.com. Great overall service!
