Always go for online if you are with group it will cost you around 5000Rs. But local cabs gives a great option of sharing cab. Be careful when trying to haggle for the lowest priced or cheapest cab as you could open yourself to the risk of operators cutting corners in service and also over laying with hidden charges. Have a great trip.

Hey , Booking online is the safest bet, and even if you plan to go to rishikesh and approach a tour agency which is also fine since there are many shops. You can always hop from one agency to another since they are all within 2 km vicinity, bargain to get the best deal. Else taxi is always an option, but then you have to switch taxis , ( since tungnath temple is closed during this time of year so pilgrimage is nil ) therefore hard to get direct shared taxi . regards Arnab

My experience that it is always better to hire local . You are able to negotiate better rates . Also you get what you see

Cab would cost somewhere between 5000 - 7000 depending upon your choice of Hatchback or Sedan. You can also travel by bus alternatively. That would be cheaper.

Always choose online platforms for hiring cabs because you can rely on them for the safety and transparency in the service. And most of the local cabs are cheap in cost as well as service.
