You can get a direct train from Zurich to Interlaken, no need to change. Even if there is a change, it's easily manageable, most of the time it's very well managed by Swiss railways. The platform at which the train arrives, the connecting trains departs from the same platform in most of the cases.

You either have to take it from Bern or Lucerne which are directly connected to Zurich. I suggest you take train from Lucerne as it'll cover part of Golden Pass Route and have breathtaking scenery . Yes you gotta run but 6 minutes are sufficient.

Hi, I also had the same doubt when I wanted to visit Interlaken. I had planned a stay in Lucerne and then from there got a direct train to Interlaken. Not to mention, Lucerne is a beautiful city to visit in Switz.
