I went to badrinath last year and i stayed at heaven hotel chamoli, actually i travelled to many places of garhwal,so it's pretty convenient to stay at chamoli

When are you planning? because roads right now are blocked and you are only able to go there in April I guess. If you're enough people to hire a cab, go for it. Hire a cab from rishikesh upto badrinath and enjoy the beautiful road journey . You can also spent a night in Rudra-prayag enroute to badrinath.

There's a specific season to visit Badrinath which is in summers as in Winters the roads are blocked. You can check about the status of roadways clearance on the internet by March-April. Travelling to Badrinath is pretty convenient as it's properly connected through roadways from major cities like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradoon and you can get plenty of options to stay/accommodate in Badrinath.

Temple doors usually open towards the beginning of May and that should be the best time to visit to avoid rains and subsequent landslides.
