It is advisable to make your pre-bookings for the Volvo and Paragliding to avoid last minute rush. You may get lot of homestay, camping and hotel options in Bir & Billing. Camping at Billing paragliding take-off site is good idea. You may contact International Youth Club for good Homestays option in Bir, Mcleodganj and Dalhousie. For accommodation you can book Zostel. It is nice and trendy. There are other basic options available too. For paragliding you can book on the spot. If you book the previous day you will start early and done by 11-12 the next day which is the best time for paragliding. Mr. Arvind Paul's group is one of the best.

Stay at Zostel...dorms are around 500 per person a night and room costs around 1300 a night. The rooms are quite clean and hygienic. Get in touch with Tandem paragliding agency, which is at the beginning of Chaugan road, they charge Rs. 2000 for gliding and Rs. 500 for videos. I recently did a trip to Bir Billing. You can check for more details in my blog.

If you're starting in Bir, and I guess if you're planning to paraglide then that is there place to stay, there is only one decent hotel to stay there. you can always opt to homestay with the locals in the Tibetan colony where non-Indians are not allowed to stay. if you're planning to stay in that one single hotel, and I unfortunately forget the name but you can search for it on the net, it will be advisable to book the rooms in advance. They will also help facilitate your paragliding experience. Although, it is in September and October that the real paragliding season begins particularly if you're internet on doing a course rather than a single fun flight.

Private hostels are amazing and must-visit. Don't book your stay to any fancy accommodation, they will charge you loads. Hostel's private rooms are amazing. Plus, you will get to know your fellow travellers and locals.
