Hey all need info on minimum amount to be carried to Thailand. Is hard cash needed or evidence of bank balance is sufficient?

10000 Baht/ person or 20000Baht/ family.Carry cash with you.

Keep cash as well as your bank statements to back you up when needed. And remember, don't keep all your cash in one place. Spread it around.

You need 10,000 Thai Baht /person if you are traveling solo and 20,000 Thai baht if you are traveling with Family. You can also have the equivalent amount of money in USD, which is roughly 300 dollars. Mostly, they wouldn't ask you to show money in cash, but they might create a fuss if you don't have hard currency.
