Hey Everyone, I am planning to do Triund Trek on Nov 9 - 10. Can anyone please confirm if camping is allowed in Triund or not? I read couple of articles that it was banned by the government in July this year. Not sure, if it has been permitted again.

Yes it is allowed but in rainy season it is not allowed.

Hi lakshay, you can anyway book your stay at the guest house run by the forest department up on the Triund.

Hey Laksh, According to the latest news update, you need to trek back down from Triund the same day as an overnight stay is not allowed. Do keep in mind that this has also resulted in the closure of the shops and food joints on the way. So if you are planning to do this trek, do carry enough food and water with you! It is advisable to start the trek as early as possible in the morning so that you have enough time to rest and enjoy the view before coming back down again. Hey Shira.., Thanks a lot for the detailed response. Since I am getting mixed responses, I am thinking to trek & return back on the same day. So., I am thinking to start around 5-6 in the morning so I can reach the top around 10-11 & then thinking to start back around 4 in the evening.
