Hey, Paris is expensive and you need to keep in mind that even a hostel here would cost 30 euros. Amsterdam has other expenses (If you know what i mean!) And 5 days are nearly not enough to do these two cities. Still Day 1: Notre Dame de paris and maybe a walking tour in that area, Louvre from outside (its 17 euros to enter and if you want to, make sure you spend the whole day here) visit the Eiffle tower right before the sunset, so you get to see it sparkling at night Day 2: Catacomb de Paris, Champs Eylesee, Arc de Troimphe Leave for Amsterdam at night by bus so you arrive early morning Day 3: Visit the Van Gogh Museum! I can never get enough of it, the dam square, get a free walking tour Day 4: Zannse Scans. Its a village 40 minutes away from Anmsterdam and if you do not do this, don't bother going to Netherlands! Do the pub crawl here! I promise it will be the best one in Europe. Check out the Red light area!!! And eat the most amazing french fries at "Mannequin piss fries" Day 5: Visit the i love Amsterdam and surrounding areas I live in Paris and i've been to Amsterdam more that I'd like to admit.

Paris - 3 days Use metro pass, you can look for airbnb accommodations to save on cost and still manage to stay in the city center. Hostels are not good option to save money. You can also look out for museum pass if you want to visit high number of museums. Paris has a lot of tourist attractions - it would be better to plan where do you want to buy the ticket. I would suggest to really go on top of Arc De Triomphe. Amsterdam - 2 days You can travel by bus or use blah blah car service to reach Amsterdam in a cost effective manner. Stay in hostel and avoid weekends as the accommodations would be super expensive during this time of the week. Look out for an accommodation near Dam square, it will save on travelling cost and lots of tourist attractions would be in walking distance.

1. Start with booking your international flight tickets at the earliest. Best rates are available if you book at least 3 months in advance 2. Book inter country flight tickets on local low budget airlines like EasyJet , Ryn Airlines etc. 3. May & June are the perfect month to travel weather wise . 4. Book apartments or stay in hostel. Cook one meal . Or buy breakfast etc from grocery stores instead of eating in restaurant. Its much cheaper.
