Yes i went in last August -
Pros - Awesome weather, not so crowdy, less expensive stuff, good time to explore hidden places
Cons - Big clubs / cafes would be closed, not good time for party as you wud not find crowd. Some cheap places to stay in north goa - Nisu beach hotel (1k per night
August is pretty decent with less crowd and reasonable prices. North Goa is must beaches like Baga , Morjim and a fort. Also shopping in night at Baga Beach is amazing one.
The cheapest places to visit would be beaches off course.
Just hire a activa of around 250-300rs for a day and then u can easily explore varioue places by your own.
I would suggest you to go to north goa, take hotel around calangute -baga beach area and hire scooty from there only, as prices will be cheapest in this area. if u dont want to spend much then u should visit baga beach, calangute beach, vagator beach, dona paula, tito's lane and science centre of goa. for any other information u can drop a mail to me at anishk459@gmail.com. I can help u out in planning goa trip to cheapest
