If you are travelling from Kolkata via Delhi, you can take the overnight train from Delhi/Nizamuddin station to Udaipur. Then on the way to Jodhpur you can take a diversion for a day and visit Mt. Abu. Mt. Abu is just 170 Km from Udaipur but not on the way to Jodhpur. If not directly head for Jodhpur and from there to Jaisalmer. All these places are very well connected by roads. From personal experience would suggest to travel at night and reach the places in the morning so that in the day time you can roam around.

You can take a flight or train from Delhi to Udaipur and then take a taxi or a bus to Jaisalmer and then Jodhpur. if you have time and budget then you can take a trip to Jaipur as well.

Hey Oiendrila, Best route from Delhi: Take a direct train to Bikaner ( Spend at least one day ) and then take a morning train from Bikaner to Jaiselmar. Best route from Howrah: Take a direct train to Jaipur or Delhi. This is my three days budget itinerary of Jaiselmar : https://www.tripoto.com/trip/three-days-itinerary-of-jaiselmar-5bc071a93485f?ref=mobwapp&source=awp Happy travelling!!!!!

You can take a train from Delhi to Jodhpur. It's a overnight train. From there you can visit Udaipur for 2 days. it's a three house drive only. Jaiselmer is a 6 hor drive from Jodhpur, you can keep another 2-3 days for Jaiselmer. The roads are really good, which will make a good road trip. Jodhpur is the centre point.
