If you don't want to do super mainstream things like Burj khalifa, you should go to Old Dubai for street shopping. You should go to Miracle Garden. You should go to this club called White Dubai. It is crazy.

Hi Fatema, Dubai is great and there are lot of choices. I'll try to narrow it done by sharing some articles with you that travelers on Tripoto have been writing about their experience. Hoe this helps. Thanks!

Sheraton is quite connected to the metro so for you traveling should be easy. The places to visit if you are visiting for the first time are: At the top of Burj Khalifa (close to your hotel), Palm Jumeraih, JBR(great place to walk and then unwind at great restaurants), bluewaters, Al Seef (old vs new dubai is depicted), La Mer, Kite Beach, Marina walk, Dubai miracle garden, Desert safari, Gold Souq, Global village (it will open again in october but it is usually quite crowded on weekends) For shopping of high end brands you can visit Dubai mall you would get every brand and it is close to your hotel. For cheap shopping you could visit dragon mart, brands for less or outlet village. If you have time do visit Abu Dhbai for the amazing Grand Mosque, the presidential palace and The ferrari world. Food specialty is Arabic food for sure. And that is available at a lot of restaurants and Dubai is famous for offering all cuisines of the world almost. Happy and safe travels.! Do let me know if there is anything I am resident of Dubai so you can ask me in case of anything else
