You need get to cochin through bus or flight , then take cruise from cochin to lakshadeep. this wil be most fun way to reach lakshadeep. flights also available i think directly from cochin to lakshadeep.

You need to reach cochin via suitable mode of transport and then from cochin, you can take a ship from the Lakshdweep ship wraf which is pretty cheap like around Rs 400-500.
You can also fly to Agati Airport (Lakshdweep) from Chennai. Don't forget about government permissions needed to enter the island.

There are mainly two ways to go. First is by flight from Cochin which goes only twice a week and other way is by cruise from cochin. It is run by Indian tourism and runs thrice a month
