I will not recommend you to travel Rajasthan in March, it will be way hot and difficult to bear the heat. Instead of that visit after September that is the best.

It will be already hot there so try spending your afternoons in shade or shopping arcades. 10k is enough I believe assuming you will be traveling from Delhi, in train and not staying for more than 2 nights at each place. Enjoy.

For Jodhpur, the day you reach, you can check out a place called Sadar Haveli on Google, its a 250 year old Haveli, you get the best view of Mehrangarh Fort from this place... 9414129112 firaset bhai this is his contact number...The next day you can reach out for the fort which will close by 6 in the evening... The third day you can start towards jaisalmer, start early so you can reach Jaisalmer by 2 in the afternoon... Just go straight towards Sam Sand Dunes... Book through OYO its very cheaper, like 1000 for two ppl in the middle of a desert... By the time you reach SAM Sand Dunes time will be around 3... There are locals who will help you with Dune Bashing which costed around 200 per person last month when I visited, since march is a off season, rates are much lower and camel ride for 100 per person... By the time you finish all the above, time will be around 6, where you'll find the beautiful sunset ever... Then next day early morning start towards Longewala border , once you reach longewala, you can see the war memorial and head towards Tanot Mata mandir... The landscape around these places are amazing... After Tanot you can head back to Jaisalmer fort by evening and stay at Jaisalmer at any oyo properties... Sadar Haveli is like 1000 per person in Jodhpur Entry for Fort is like 400 to my guess In Sam Sand Dunes, We found a stay for 1200 which includes Stay dinner Local dance dune bashing camel safari and the next days breakfast... It's like you've to bargain with those guys, thats it... And for the next round about trip, its only the petrol or diesel cost... The next days stay at Jaisalmer will cost around 1000 if booked through oyo, on the previous day of your arrival... 5k max for stay and other activities... Excluding Petrol... Happy touring :)

Well direct flights stop running after mid march to Jaisalmer.I am not sure where you would be travelling from but they certinly do from Delhi.March is certainly not the season for Jaisalmer as it starts getting hot. This time due to extended winter season the tourist season is running til initial March otherwise as per our local people the tourist season ends in Feb end.You can certainly travel but it would be hot.

Hi , I have covered Jodhpur and Jaisalmer together in December 2018 , you can visit both the places in march , 2 days are enough in Jodhpur where you can visit all forts and palaces, 3 days in Jaisalmer are enough including desert camping and visiting forts ,if you get time visit Kuldhara which is the most haunted place near to Jaisalmer . budget depends on the hotel and conveyance you are using but approx.12-15 k per person for 5 days
