Since, Manali bikers Association (or something like that) are always at a dispute with Ladakhi bike rentals, it is advisable that you fly to Leh and rent a bike then and there. 'Ladakhbikerental.com' seemed pretty nice and they have much more maintained bikes. You can give them a call and ask about what they have in their inventory.

Hi you can go to manali via bus and then lend bikes there, as all the scenery and view is after manali.
