Hey Vivek, the raods are really good, once you reach madhumalai, there are two roads basically, one to the left and one to the right, both thr roads are fantastic and you can safely travel through bike, no worries. As per thr closures are concerned, yes the roads will be closed from 7 p.m to 6 a.m

Hey the best route from Bangalore would be Bangalore-Mysore-Nanjangood-Bandipur-Madhumalai-ooty. Since you will be changing states, you need to get a permit(you can get this at a RTO in ooty, if asked in madhumalai checkpost just say that you will be getting in OOTY), And the road passes through the jungle and the roads will be closed from 7 p.m to 6 a.m. so plan your trip accordingly Good day, Cheers !!

Bangalore to Ooty - Route 1 - Bangalore > Mysore> Nanjangud> Gundlupete > Bandipur > Theppakadu ( here the road forks into 2 routes) you can take the route via Masinagudi to Ooty or the longer via Gudalur to Ooty. since these roads go through Bandipur and Mudumalai you may get to see elephants, peacocks, monkeys, and bison. This route is very scenic and you will get proper twisty roads. Route To :- Bangalore> Krishnagiri> Salem> Erode>Coimbatore> Coonoor> Ooty. Longer and boring but safer route with excellent highways. Best to enjoy both would be to take Route1 while going and Route 2 while returning. Private vehicles need no permits. Keep in mind entry to Bandipur is closed at 6PM and opens at 6 AM. Hope this helps!!

Thank you so much. I am carrying a bit of luggage so I am trying to avoid twist as much as possible . as I checked even though gudalur is longer route it has more of a straight road. Is it true?
