If you have decided to go... you're up for an adventure. Goa in monsoon is a whole different goa. Less crowded beaches and cheap rentals. A dream for solo travelers. You'll find yourself amused by greenery. Try some offbeat activities like backwater kayaking which extremely safe even for newbies. If you're a non vegetarian try golden fried kalamari. Visit nearby waterfalls there are a delight.

Hey I did Goa solo in June just when the rain started (June 3rd week) and it was fantastic. I would highly suggest you hostel and my personal favorite is The Jungle Hostel near Vagator. No season can ever be boring in Goa. if traveling solo than North Goa can be preferred over South. 3 to 5 day Goa trip a ideal. BTW I am there in Diwali (Oct 27 to 30) hope to find someone from this community. Feel free to contact me, as I am also planning for Himachal this November.

If u like rains then yes and u will find eveything cheap and less crowded. but Due to monsoon u will find all water activities are closed and even they will not allow u to go near sea if there is high alert due to rain. best time to travel in goa is winters. In winters u find pleasant weather and u can enjoy every bit of goa. In December is carnival month in goa because of Christmas and new year so everything will become costly comparing to other days but worth to go.

Yes, its a good time to visit Goa, if you are not planning for that beach parties or other glittering atmosphere. You will find a peaceful Goa, book a bicycle and roam around. Be careful in nights , lights are not proper there due to less crowd. Indulge yourself in Yoga session there, visit theme based restaurant and discover there hard earned cuisines. But if u want to travel Goa to experience an extreme life then go after November.
