The first and foremost destination to go in karnataka solo is hampi.apart from the ruins of the great vijayanagar empire, the place has a hippie backpacker vibe. you will surely enjoy there. you can also visit gokarna, an offbeat beach place. bidar, bijapur if you love history and architecture. or coorg to fall in lap of nature. choose from these you will love these places.
There are plenty of options. It's winter season so i would recommend you Hampi, Badami, Pattadakal or Mysuru, ooty and banglore. If you are beach lover then go with Karwar, Gokarna and murudeshwar
