Within Kolkata you can go to Birla Musuem, amazing place. Also Ramakrishna Ashram centre, Dakshineswar Temple, Kalighat, Salt lake area, Morning flower market around Howrah Bride are good. Digha is a well known place near Kolkata apart from Sunderbans f course.
