I won't say it's a great time but neither it's bad. But I definitely don't think you will get snow there now. if you want to experience snowfall head out to the north mostly in January.
March is nice and pleasant. we went in April it was cool but no snow. This time around mostly you can see snow near to Thriund trekk in March. Mcleod is a great place. you will enjoy. go ahead.
Hi Tanay, I just returned from a 10 day trip to Mcleodganj and there is snow at this point in time, but it will begin to melt by end of Feb. Triud trek was closed and so was the road to Dalhousie from Mcleodganj. So, to answer your question, yes, March is a good time to visit there, the weather will be pleasant and you will be bale to cover quite a lot of places around, there wont be snowfall though.
Hey Tanay,
Its a good time to visit Mcleod (Dharamshala) and you might find snow there as well. You can also go for sight-seeing and trekking. Triund trek is a great option (once you reach triund top, move 4km further towards Snowline, a place with far much better views then Triund top itself). You can also visit Bhagsu falls and Kangara Valley.
Happy Travelling :)
Weather would be excellent to roam and for trek...won't find snowfall but on the positive side there will be no rainfall also...so can easily roam around
While in McLeod ganja, please ensure to visit "Trek n dine" for one of ur meals and have some home made yum cookies and wood fire pizza is one of the best.
