*.distance of Nainital to auli is roughly 455 kilometres.and it takes upto 12 hours and will cost about 2500 approx on petrol /diesel on driving with own car.
* road trip comes with its own enjoyment and long drive with such view is a refreshing experience for sure. *another way to reach auli is by railway.the nearest railway station is in Rishikesh. after that you can book your cab from Rishikesh to auli. *the last option we have is from flight. flight available till Dehradun and then you can book a cab from there to auli or a bus ride may work well .

First nanital to ramnagar then ramnagar to joshimath there will be tracker available for auli.

Hey Neog, Yessss, you can reach auli from nainital in bus. But it will take more time compared to taxi as there are no direct buses plying in this route. Firstly, take a share taxi or a regular bus from Nainital to Haldwani. this is about 40 Kms. From there take a bus to Haridwar ... this is about 225 Kms and takes approx 6 to 7 hours of time. After you reach Haridwar, u find a lottt of daily buses plying from Haridwar to joshimath and also directly to Auli ...This distance is about 280 Kms and would take 9 hours to reach Auli. So all in total you would need to travel 550 Kms from Nainital to joshimath via bus service and this would also be cheap than car services. Happy Travelling Bro!!!

Nainital to Kathgodam kathgodam to Haridwar by train ( U can save time)
then Haridwar to joshimath by bus
Joshimath to Auli by ropeway.

There are no direct bus to go Auli from Nainital. you can take share taxis rather than book a cab..

But no direct bus is available to Joshimath, you will have to go to Karnaprayag by bus, and then to Joshimath by taxi
