Hi, There are lots of places in and around Pondy to visit.Specifically if you are looking to visit Pondy then 4 days would be sufficient to see the places nearby also. 2.5 days - Visit beaches, Aurobindo Ashram, plenty of temples ,some shopping + places nearby.

Two days are more than sufficient for Puducherry unless you want to travel bit far keeping Puducherry as base.
