You will find all budget stays.. ranging from hostels to heritage rersorts.. getting around is easy if you haggle with the autowalas, the tourist places dont charge a lot... so more or less the b udget can be determined by the kind of place you stay at

I did my Udaipur trip in 5k...u can stay in Banjaara hostel..they have dormitory and private room too...per day it's 350-400 including breakfast and stay..jag Mandir,City palace ,pichola lake , Jagdish temple .all these places are in walking distance from this stay..u can roam like local there are entry fees for Jag Mandir and city palace ...apprx 250-300 but I s worth it do vist Jag Mandir it's beautiful u can take auto to vist Fateh Sagar lake ,sahelio ki baari and other places
