Ladakh is one of the most heavenly places I have seen. If you are one of those people who genuinely loves to trek and can easily adapt to altitude changes, you should surely visit Leh and Ladakh. I had visitied Leh ladakh in june 2016. As soon as you reach Leh airport, you can see the scenary of beautiful mountain ranges for yourself. I have never been more amused by any other view in this way. But it takes almost 24 hours for getting adapted to the higher altitudes and pressure on the top. So you need to take care of that.
