Hi Tathagata, the budget totally depends upon various factors such as stay, food, mode of transport for commuting. For a budget traveller, the accommodation in hostels and guesthouses will cost around INR 3000 - 4000, food in local cafes and street eateries INR 1500 - 2500 and public transport in buses will cost approx. INR 400 - 600 a day.

To begin with, plan a trip to Prague , Vienna and Budapest for 10 days . All these three cities are very beautiful and quite reasonable in compare to other part of the Europe :)

There would be certain considerations before you plan the trip. Budget, duration of stay, no. Of places you would like to cover. Which part of Europe etc.
For a solo trip central Europe is a great idea. Amsterdam Berlin Prague Budapest make for a great backpacking solo trip. You can also add Paris to this or brussels

If your planning a solo trip for Europe you surely have to spend up to Rs 1 lakh per head for a week or 10 days trip. You can choose three or four places of your choice or according to the Proximity of the places. Like you can choose Prague, Budapest and Vienna which are the best three and economical options. Otherwise you can also choose Paris, Belgium and Amsterdam.

Depends on how many countries and cities you plan to do in Europe. I did only Italy and it costed me almost 1500 dollars

I was in France and had done a solo trip of central and eastern Europe for about 9 days. My total expenses were around 750 Euros, that is 60k including hostel stays, night buses and sometimes flights. Add cost of round trip flight from India, it should be around Rs. 1lakh
