Pondicherry on October is a good choice. Weather will be moderate. Not so sunny. Enjoy the beauty of rock beach, French Colony, Matrimandir.... .etc For Matrimandir you can get into the place but for especially into Matrimandir you gotta book prior. I gusee one shouldn't miss the beauty of Matrimandir and the magnificent architectural glory of it. Usually you could rent a bike that is affordable and stays you can get in a reasonable price.i would suggest two days stay would be a best option.
