Yes you can do it in two days easily
prefer overnight journey by volvo from Delhi to Shimla costing 700/- each side.
and you can explore Shimla well

U can do overnight journey.. Delhi to shimla by Ac bus ..which will cost you around 900/- to 1000/- rupees . it will save you time. but make reservation delhi to chandigarh than chandigarh to shimla you can go by local bus ..which will reduce your cost and save your atlst 1 and half hour... bcz volvo halt for 1 and half hour at chandigarh

Take Volvo or anyother bus from ISBT or from Himachal Bhawan, Madi House and two days is not possible

Hi Vinay! Well, travelling to Shimla from Delhi and back would be hectic to cover within two days, but it can be done. - Take a Volvo bus from ISBT/Mandi House/Majnu ka Tila preferably which starts at 8 - 10 pm on a night prior to your Day 1 of travel. It would take you 10 hours on average to reach Shimla Bus Stand. - Go for a hotel near the bus stand in order to avoid rush the next day while returning!
- Visit the Mall Road, Lakkad Bazaar, Church Road etc. on your Day 1 morning. - If you'd like to explore more, take a bus/cab to Narkanda the same day (its a mesmerizing lil village above Shimla, and comparatively unexplored!)
- You could come back from Narkanda by Day 2's afternoon and board the bus back to Delhi from Shimla bus stand!

Board any volvo going to shimla from delhi in night.
Pre-book your stay, and choose to stay in mall road.
All the points are near from it like The ridge, jakhoo temple.
Trek till jakhoo temple from mall road if you want.
you can go to kufri from there, if you are going in winter.
These all things will be coverd in two days easily.
