Also, don't miss out on the ferry ride to paradise beach. If possible keep the trip upto 3 days... there's lots to explore there and Aurovile itself might take upto a day

Hey Sagar, Here s the itinerary which you can follow on your trip to Pondicherry:- Day 1 :- Visit serenity beach for sunrise ... Then go to Auroville and matrimandir and also Auroville beach .... Finish your Day by strolling on the promenade or Gandhi statue beach road which is only meant for walking after 5pm .... Day 2:- Today visit Arulmigu temple and then go to Paradise beach which is a must visit in pondi .... then in the evening visit Aurobindo ashram and roaming around french colony and white colony ... Day 3:- Visit basilica of scared heart of Jesus ... Old light house ... Arikamedu and also the Pondicherry museum ... Please see that you hire a two wheeler for yourself as it is the cheapest way to see all the places in Pondicherry ... Hey Sagar , Pondicherry is a wonderful place , you will surely love it . For hotels you can try out Annamalai International , Anandha Inn or Shenbaug Convention. Must visit places :
1) Walk at Promenade Beach 2) Visit to the Paradise Beach 3) Sunrise at the Serenity Beach 4) A boating experience at Osudu Lake which is a lake full of lotuses
5) A visit to Auroville and watch the beautiful Matri-Mandir.
6) Explore the white town or French colonies of Pondicheery which shall give you a feeling of France in India. For Food below are the must visits :
1) Le Cafe at Promenade Beach
2)Cafe Xtasi for Pizzas
3) Suruguru for Veg food
4)Bakers Street for desserts
5)Villa Shanti for a good fine-dine

Hello Sagar, I went to Pondicherry last December so sharing a list of my personal favourites : 1. Anantha Heritage Hotel - most humble and kind staff, food is cooked with so much love and they also helped us in renting a bike at a cheap price. 2kms away from the French Colony and walking distance to all the prominent places like the Promenade, Aurobindo Ashram etc. It's location in Tamil quarter overseeing a temple and the temple tank makes it special. 2. Cafe options :
*The Lighthouse in Promenade Hotel - is very romantic with a rooftop view
*Cafe' des Arts *Kashi Ki Asha - rooftop
*Eat My Cake - freshly homemade bread, pastries and brunch options. It's a pastel blue and pink building which looks like a doll house.

*Villa Shanti
*Le Club
*Rendezvous
*Baker Street
~South Indian food
*La Coromondale
*Surgura 3. Auroville - you must take a day trip there. They also have a 'Sound Garden' which is a hidden gem behind Auroville. Visit the famous 'Auroville Bakery' for mouth water brownies and pasteries and if you love pizza then 'Tanto Pizzeria' is very popular.

Hi sagar, Incase you are looking for budget accomodation, please do check micasa hostels. I stayed there for a day and totally l9ved it. The location is pretty good with all major attractions and eating joints near By. Apart from what has already been informed to you...please try visiting pichavaram mangroves. It's a different experience altogether!! Must visit cafes- cafe de arts, cafe Tantos, zuka , bakers street, bay of buddha, le cafe, Asifee biryani, gelatos from GMT. Happy Travel!!!

Must visit places in pondicherry are Auroville, Serenity beach, promenade beach, Pichavaram mangrove Forest, Paradise beach and French town.
You can get cheap accommodation at micasa hotel or at Airbnb.
