1-BhagsuNag waterfalls. It involves a bit of hiking, so be prepared with good shoes. Also, if someone is asthmatic, make sure about his medical conditions before proceeding for the BhagsuNag waterfalls. 2-Trek to Triund- it is a 3-4 hour trek to the top of the Hills and then you can stay in a tent house. it's extremely cold at night, be prepared with your winter wears. Taking alcohol is not allowed. 3- Dalai Lama Monastery- it is a 2 storeyed Buddhist Monastery for spiritual relaxation and listening to Dalai Lamas wisdom and exploring the Tibetan culture. 4- Dal lake- although it was not as good as it's shown in the pictures, the water was dirty and receding. But the place surrounding is has good views and picturesque locations. 5 Naddi view point- just a few km ahead of dal Lake is the Naddi view point famous for picturesque locations. 6- St John's in the wilderness church- one of the most ancient churches since the British times.

Apart from local places you can visit Naddi, Kangra fort Bajreswari temple etc. They will take not more than 4-5 hours. Naddi is very neat to Dharamsala. Himalayan view on a clear day is simply breathtaking.
