Hey. I am from Ladakh and it's completely safe to travel there. People over there are very hospitible. There is two route to reach Ladakh , one via Manali side and one via Kashmir side. Take the Manali one and the best time is from ( May _ August )

There are only two ways to reach Ladakh. It can either via manali from Delhi crossing kullu or you go via srinagar to Leh . You can opt for any route and also if you are planning in june make sure you don't go via manali as it will be huge traffic due to Rohtang pass commericialisation at that time.

How does one reach Laddakh by road at this time of the year coz with the rohtang pass closed by mid sept and the only route left is via srinagar by pass. and given the situation their, I wonder if it will be okay to travel through the area... I'm not even concerned about safety, traveling alone as it is, but can it be done. I checked and all searches for possibilities of traveling to Srinagar fromJammu are closed. but I need to be in Laddakh and I can't fly direct. can anyone suggest something, someone from the Tripoto community or the free traveling solo who is already in Laddakh or srinagar... thanks
