There are few places around Warangal worth visiting once: Alampur - it has a famous Jogulamba Temple , Nagarjuna sagar ,khammam known for historical & heritage. Also if you are a trek & adventure person you can plan for Ahobilam trek, Mhedak fort trek or Bhongir fort trek. But it will be easy to suggest you more places on knowing the number of days you are planning your trip for & budget.

Hi, two little-visited places I highly recommend for short trips around Warangal are Araku Valley and Bastar. If you plan to go to Araku Valley then make sure you hop on the scenic train ride from Vizag to Araku. You will love it. Jagdalpur is the base to explore Bastar region. Bastar has scenic waterfalls, colourful tribal markets, virgin forests, excellent treks and centuries old temples. Read the attached articles for more information.
