Hi Preeti, Your passion will drive you. You can start from Udaipur in Rajasthan or Jaipur. Because it will be your first, you might be dicey and doubtful but a well designed itinerary will hell you better. Also, try taking public transports to be more safe. And be vigilant of your surroundings. I hope to be reading your solo trip blog super soon.

Just start with taking small or 1-2 days solo trips to near by your home city. Once you start travel by your own you get some experience that may good as well as bad one for some time. But it will be worth and this will help you in future. While travelling solo you will find many like you on same path. Explore and exchange the knowledge you have. The more you travel the more confidence will come to you.

Hi Preeti, I believe if you have the zeal to do, nothing is impossible. The most important thing I believe for venturing in solo trip is to ensure you organise yourself in a better manner. Ensuring you do the location research pretty well and making sure that the location you picked is solo female friendly. I have done a solo trip to Himachal for 10 days and also in Tarkarli for 4 days. I ensured that itinerary is well planned and the places selected are good. If you plan to go to Himachal or Tarkarli, I can suggest you places which may help. I wish you all the best and I very positive you will be travelling soon. :)

I see you are from delhi so you can start small for some near by places like manali , kasol , jaipur , udaipur. Make proper travel arrangements and if you are going to self drive better do it in day lights.. As far as safety is concerned it's in our own hands to be vigilant. Himachal and Rajasthan are both safe places so Happy solo trips :)

Yesss!!! It’s time to let go the insecurity, dependency and take India by the horns...It is time that women should travel solo in the country. The fact as it remains, most people cut a figure of India as an unsafe place for female travelers, which is partially true, BUT it can by no means slice off the other fact away that India is one exceptionally beautiful destination. AND further adding to the glory, apparently, a lot of single female travelers have been coming forward and sharing their Indian travel stories, tips and tricks for a safe and hassle-free journey around the country. Let’s face it, not all parts of India are unsafe, neither all men in India are eve-teasers. Here is the list of some great destinations in India, which are notable for their beauty and are undoubtedly safe: Udaipur, Rajasthan Rishikesh, Uttarakhand Hampi, Karnataka Puducherry Sikkim Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh Good Luck!! Happy Travelling!!
