By Air The nearest airport is at Bhuntar, located approximately 50 kilometres away from Manali. Domestic flights connect Bhuntar with Delhi and Chandigarh. Once at the airport, you can take a pre-paid taxi to Manali. However, owing to weather conditions, flights are not the most reliable option for getting to or out of Manali. By Bus Manali is very well-connected to important tourist destinations like Leh, Shimla, Kullu, Dharamshala and New Delhi by means of a network of state-run as well as private buses. The bus journey from Delhi to Manali is 550 kilometres, and it is advisable to book your tickets in the air-conditioned Volvo coaches, as the buses are more comfortable than ordinary ones, keeping in mind the long distance of the journey. From which city will you be travelling ayush?

Hi Ayush, First of all it depends where are you travelling from, I'm assuming you will be travelling from Delhi. If you want to enjoy the journey i would suggest you to travel by road. There experience is wonderful, travelling through the valleys and along side Beas. I would suggest you to travel by car or bike and if not bus would be great option. you can check for Himachal roadways buses both volvo and ordinary. If you are looking for comfort volvo is your option and if not then ordinary buses are also good option as the cold breeze in mountains make it worth travelling. Enjoy you trip. Happy Travelling

Drive from Delhi to Manali, via Chandigarh. Or take a train to Kalka Railway Station & one can drive from Kalka to Manali, which is approximately 285 kms. By Air, closest domestic airport is Chandigarh, nearest airport is Bhuntar airport, but flight might get cancelled depending on the weather. Or take a direct Volvo bus from Delhi/Chandigarh.

Depends from where you are starting. if you are starting from Delhi, you should book HRTC Volvo bus which is the best way to reach Manali from Delhi. just visit HRTC website and book hemsuta bus. you can also book hemsuta bus from Goibibo or makemytrip. If HRTC buses are sold out, you can book KTC bus which is the best option after HRTC
