Trust me, its totally safe.Kashmir is a beautiful welcoming Indian land. And tourist places are mostly safe anywhere in the world. One thing i wish to add is Respect the locals and you get the reciprocation. I mean, stop putting your political view points or trying to impose your beliefs.

Is it not safe to travel kashmir at December because in Kashmir there to cold in December. I suggest you to go between February to September. because between October to January there is too cold in Kashmir. there too many which agency which can take your tour to Kashmir it's depend that uh want to go alone or with the family.

Yes, it is safe to travel kashmir in the month of December. i believe u should there on new year's eve at Gulmarg, Kashmir. New year is celebrated there in very high enthusiasm. pre book hotels soon as the place gets rushed too much. enjoy skiing, sky diving, paragliding, trekking.,etc there
