Hi, I would suggest staying at one of the shacks located on the beach. Most of them are located in Kudle, with a few in Om and Half Moon too. Daily charges can vary between Rs 400 - Rs 3000. Hope it helps you and do share your experience on Tripoto.

Hostel LaVaie or Zostel - great place to stay. I stayed at hostel laVaie during my visit. The food and the host there is amazing. It is near to kudle Beach and Gokarna main beach. The view from there is amazing.

No doubt zostel but getting rooms even in dorm is difficult if not prebooked so next option is Namaste cafe and their bed and breakfast stay option.

The cheapest places to stay in Gokarna can be found on Kudle Beach. There are shacks available at the beach itself which cost about 500 INR per night. Although the shack is literally a room made of straw and has mud for floor, a mosquito net, a mat on the floor for a bed and a barely functional fan. Also, the washrooms are common for the entire hotel. If you want a better place, there are villas present on Kudle Beach too which take about 1500–2000 INR per night and they are small but good rooms with private bathrooms and beautiful balconies. I stayed in Sri Umamaheshwara Cottage that is behind Old Pizzeria on Kudle Beach and it was a great experience.

There are lots of options at Gokarna - As this place flocked with Foreigners. The arrangements are also good. Hostel type lodging is also available.

Footprints On The Globe

Hi Sameer, Gokarna has a lot of options - a lot of hostels , shacks etc. We stayed at Trippr Gokarna during our visit there, and we loved it. It's located right on the moon beach, and it was a great experience staying here. Though the place is quite small, the view makes up for it ! Some other options are Zostel, Hostel LaVaie, Ganesh Cafe (On Om Beach). At Gokarna there are many hostel as well as home stay also available. you can also visit Airbnb for more properties. which will be better to find room
