Personally I don't think it's preferable to go Goa in the new years season. I agree it's the peak season but then it'll be too crowded and you won't be able to enjoy really well kuddos

Yes December is actually the peak, maximum number of travellers head to Goa in December as the Christmas and New year's celebrations reach a ecstatic level. Although the prices of hotels, bike/car rentals and food would also be maximum around this time. You can also expect a lot of music festivals and events in December.

Most tourists flock to Goa's sandy shores during the sunny and dry winter months between October and March when the weather is perfect for the beach and Goa buzzes with activity. By April and May the heat and humidity rises and the crowds reduce. The period between June – September is Goa's monsoon or rainy season.

Yes, Goa is a place where you can plan any month in a Year. Specially in December clear sky will be there so you can enjoy spectacular sunsets. As Goa is on costal line, huge humidity will be there. In December time you can get some relief from it. As usual you can have awesome crowd even in the South or for most north Goa also, so no need to stick to Baaga beach. Enjoy and have great and safe trip.
